Services Available
Acceptable items at the recycle center:
Aluminum scrap, #1 plastic,#2,#3,#5, and #7 plastic, glass, drink boxes/milk
cartons, ferrous metal/non-ferrous, cardboard, metal, newspapers, paper
grocery bags, junk mail, magazines, telephone books, office paper, paperboard
(cereal, shoe boxes), dry cleaning bags, and wood(large quantities evoke
a fee).
Composting
Free composting workshops to all residents. Workshops last about 2
hours and are held monthly. Call the home composting hotline at 222-POST
to request a list of upcoming dates.
Curbside recycling
Recyclable materials accepted at the curb include: Newspaper, Tin,#1 and
#2 plastics, used motor oil (special container required), glass (clear,
brown, and green), green wast/yard debris, and aluminum.
